The Klaras Children’s Center ECI truly is unique. Klaras Children’s Center ECI (KCC ECI) serves children/families through a team approach that enables families/caregivers to come together with providers from all disciplines (all needed therapies included) to focus on ways the child can reach the goals set by the family throughout the course of their everyday life.
It is a different philosophy and one that enables a child, as one ECI mom put it, “to receive his services in the same world in which he lives and grows--not a segregated, clinical world, but the world in which he belongs, the one he shares with his family and with the others who love him.”

Klaras Children’s Center ECI has a screening tool called the Quick Check that is specifically designed for Health Care Providers/staff to administer quickly and easily to identify as early as possible babies and young children who are likely candidates for ECI services.

We would be happy to provide you with a copy of this tool at no cost to you, as well as training for its use. More and more children are now being diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. It is also known that many of these children begin exhibiting signs and symptoms during the first few months of life. The Quick Check is designed to help you not only identify children who are lagging behind peers in developmental milestones, but also to identify as early as possible children who are exhibiting atypical development which can be indicative of autism spectrum disorders, as well as other disorders requiring immediate intervention, like sensory integration disorder. |

Klaras Children’s Center ECI operates with an open referral policy, meaning anyone can refer a child/family. Most referrals do, however, come by way of the medical community.
Although families can make a referral themselves to Klaras Children's Center ECI, the call is too hard to make for some families.
